Tom Morris is about the first speaker that I have
really, deep down, envied. Think about it. He is an award-winning professor
at Notre Dame, where he gets to hobnob with greats in the fields of both
brain and brawn. It's a world of golden domes, traditional values, and
bowl invitations. He is a much-published author and sought-after
speaker. He generates more excitement in three and a half hours than most
podiums see in three and a half years. He himself says that, as a philosopher, all he
does is sit around with his feet on his desk looking out his office
window. He was the official Winnie the Pooh philosopher on television, for
pete's sake. And on top of that, he seems like a genuinely nice
guy. That's a life to live, it seems to me. That's true success.
